Unsere Tour der Woche sind Marina & The Diamonds. Die Waliserin mit griechischen Wurzeln und glasklarer Stimme ist das neue Juwel am britschen Pop-Himmel. Soul-Röhre Beth Ditto ist mit ihrer Band The Gossip inzwischen ganz oben angekommen: Dancerock mit energischem Gesang von einer DER Stilikonen der Nuller Jahre. Ganz alte Haudegen sind Bad Religion: Dr. Greg Graffin und seine Jungs sind Urväter des US-Politpunks und füllen immer noch große Hallen. Zu den treibenden Beat-Rhythmen der Phenomenal Handclap Band aus New York lässt es sich gut tanzen - und natürlich in die Hände klatschen. Ähnlich langer Name, aber andere Musik: beim ziemlich schräg rockenden Victorian English Gentlemens Club aus Cardiff handelt es sich keinesfalls um einen reinen Herrenclub. Wer auf feine Pop-Melodien steht, sollte besser zum jungen Bajuwaren Roman Fischer gehen. Unter dem Motto "Out of my mind and into your head" werden alle Pop-Register gezogen. Zünftiger geht's dann wieder bei Garcia plays Kyuss zu: Ex-Kyuss-Sänger John Garcia kommt auf Tour mit - na? richtig! - Kyuss-Songs. Antitainment aus Frankfurt haben lustige Songtitel wie "Sechstagewochegummimann" und spielen Frickel-Hardcore mit guten deutschen Texten.
