Oskar Haag is one of Austria?s most compelling new indie-pop artist. At just 20 years old, he has already played some of Europe?s most renowned showcase festivals - including Eurosonic Noorderslag, The Great Escape, and Waves Vienna - and opened for international acts like Birdy and AVEC. With his haunting voice, poetic songwriting, and emotionally disarming stage presence, Haag crafts deeply intimate performances that resonate across generations. No wonder Chris Martin is a big fan.
He first captured national attention in 2021, performing solo at Popfest Vienna at the age of 15, which he played again as the festivals headliner only a three years later. What followed were a string of FM4 chart-topping singles (Stargazing, Lady Sun and Mr. Moon, Black Dresse, The Summer We Need), the launch of his own label Lullaby Records, and the release of his debut album "Teenage Lullabies" in 2023, which entered the Austrian charts at #6.
In 2023 he received the FM4-Amadeus Austrian Music Awards, making him the youngest artist to ever win the prize. That same year, he began appearing on international stages, building a growing fanbase. 2024 he also was nominated for "Alternative Act Of The Year" at the Amadeus Award. Haag also works as an actor ? having performed a Shakespeare piece at Vienna?s renowned Burgtheater, one of the most prestigious stages in the German-speaking world. He also starred in the award-winning feature film about Austrian painter Maria Lassnig, portraying the young Arnulf Rainer.
In 2025, he released a quiet and intimate 5-track EP titled "Field of Love?, further showcasing his subtle and introspective songwriting.
He just finished playing a major role in Mila/Marija, a feature film, where he appears as Hanzi. Mila/Marija is set in a Slovenian mountain village in 1943, dealing with resistance during WWII and its aftermath.
Oskar Haag is currently nearing completion of his second album, "Lost Cause.? The 15 brand-new tracks will be released on September 25, 2026, once again on his own label Lullaby Records. A major tour is in the works to accompany the release.
